I am a professional garden maker, writer and art facilitator with a degree in Zoology.

I make woven baskets, plant supports and garden structures from natural sustainable materials particularly willow and hazel. I love being creative, making things that are functional and beautiful, and which may otherwise end up in landfill or burnt. I share my passion for nature and the natural world through my gardening work, providing habitats for wildlife and encouraging biodiversity.

I run a variety of workshops showing people how to do this as well as those with a botanical theme under the banner of the Botanical Sketch Club which I set up 6 years ago to encourage people to draw plants from life in a more personal expressive way and develop their own style of artistic expression.
I have written and styled several articles on floral design and container planting for Gardens Illustrated magazine as well as a series of articles on creating garden structures and am currently writing a book on the subject.
I love to create my own artwork, drawing and painting in a variety of media: pencil, charcoal and watercolour.
There is a world of botanical specimens waiting to be explored through drawing, slowing down and looking closer.
I advertise my workshops through my website
